Sura An Nabaa 78

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِِ
78:1 Whereof do they question one another ? AAamma yatasaaloona عَمَّ يَتَسَاءلُونَ
78:2 (It is) of the awful tidings, AAani alnnaba-i alAAatheemi عَنِ النَّبَإِ الْعَظِيمِ
78:3 Concerning which they are in disagreement. Allathee hum feehi mukhtalifoona الَّذِي هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ
78:4 Nay, but they will come to know! Kalla sayaAAlamoona كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ
78:5 Nay, again, but they will come to know! Thumma kalla sayaAAlamoona ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ
78:6 Have We not made the earth an expanse, Alam najAAali al-arda mihadan أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا
78:7 And the high hills bulwarks ? Waaljibala awtadan وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا
78:8 And We have created you in pairs, Wakhalaqnakum azwajan وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا
78:9 And have appointed your sleep for repose, WajaAAalna nawmakum subatan وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا
78:10 And have appointed the night as a cloak, WajaAAalna allayla libasan وَجَعَلْنَا اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا
78:11 And have appointed the day for livelihood. WajaAAalna alnnahara maAAashan وَجَعَلْنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا
78:12 And We have built above you seven strong (heavens), Wabanayna fawqakum sabAAan shidadan وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا
78:13 And have appointed a dazzling lamp, WajaAAalna sirajan wahhajan وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا
78:14 And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water, Waanzalna mina almuAAsirati maan thajjajan وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُعْصِرَاتِ مَاء ثَجَّاجًا
78:15 Thereby to produce grain and plant, Linukhrija bihi habban wanabatan لِنُخْرِجَ بِهِ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا
78:16 And gardens of thick foliage. Wajannatin alfafan وَجَنَّاتٍ أَلْفَافًا
78:17 Lo! the Day of Decision is a fixed time, Inna yawma alfasli kana meeqatan إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَاتًا
78:18 A day when the trumpet is blown and ye come in multitudes, Yawma yunfakhu fee alssoori fata/toona afwajan يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًا
78:19 And the heaven is opened and becometh as gates, Wafutihati alssamao fakanat abwaban وَفُتِحَتِ السَّمَاء فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَابًا
78:20 And the hills are set in motion and become as a mirage. Wasuyyirati aljibalu fakanat saraban وَسُيِّرَتِ الْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا
78:21 Lo! hell lurketh in ambush, Inna jahannama kanat mirsadan إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا
78:22 A home for the rebellious. Lilttagheena maaban لِلْطَّاغِينَ مَآبًا
78:23 They will abide therein for ages. Labitheena feeha ahqaban لَابِثِينَ فِيهَا أَحْقَابًا
78:24 Therein taste they neither coolness nor (any) drink La yathooqoona feeha bardan wala sharaban لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا
78:25 Save boiling water and a paralysing cold: Illa hameeman waghassaqan إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا
78:26 Reward proportioned (to their evil deeds). Jazaan wifaqan جَزَاء وِفَاقًا
78:27 For lo! they looked not for a reckoning; Innahum kanoo la yarjoona hisaban إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا
78:28 They called Our revelations false with strong denial. Wakaththaboo bi-ayatina kiththaban وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كِذَّابًا
78:29 Everything have We recorded in a Book. Wakulla shay-in ahsaynahu kitaban وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ كِتَابًا
78:30 So taste (of that which ye have earned). No increase do We give you save of torment. Fathooqoo falan nazeedakum illa AAathaban فَذُوقُوا فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا
78:31 Lo! for the duteous is achievement - Inna lilmuttaqeena mafazan إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا
78:32 Gardens enclosed and vineyards, Hada-iqa waaAAnaban حَدَائِقَ وَأَعْنَابًا
78:33 And maidens for companions, WakawaAAiba atraban وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا
78:34 And a full cup. Waka/san dihaqan وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا
78:35 There hear they never vain discourse, nor lying - La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwan wala kiththaban لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّابًا
78:36 Requital from thy Lord - a gift in payment - Jazaan min rabbika AAataan hisaban جَزَاء مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَاء حِسَابًا
78:37 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and (all) that is between them, the Beneficent; with Whom none can converse. Rabbi alssamawati waal-ardi wama baynahuma alrrahmani la yamlikoona minhu khitaban رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الرحْمَنِ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا
78:38 On the day when the angels and the Spirit stand arrayed, they speak not, saving him whom the Beneficent alloweth and who speaketh right. Yawma yaqoomu alrroohu waalmala-ikatu saffan la yatakallamoona illa man athina lahu alrrahmanu waqala sawaban يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الرُّوحُ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ صَفًّا لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ الرحْمَنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا
78:39 That is the True Day. So whoso will should seek recourse unto his Lord. Thalika alyawmu alhaqqu faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi maaban ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الْحَقُّ فَمَن شَاء اتَّخَذَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ مَآبًا
78:40 Lo! We warn you of a doom at hand, a day whereon a man will look on that which his own hands have sent before, and the disbeliever will cry: "Would that I were dust!" Inna antharnakum AAathaban qareeban yawma yanthuru almaro ma qaddamat yadahu wayaqoolu alkafiru ya laytanee kuntu turaban إِنَّا أَنذَرْنَاكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيبًا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ الْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ الْكَافِرُ يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَابًا
