Sura Al Hijr 15

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِِ
15:1 Alif. Lam. Ra. These are verses of the Scripture and a plain Reading. Alif-lam-ra tilka ayatu alkitabi waqur-anin mubeenin الَرَ تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ وَقُرْآنٍ مُّبِينٍ
15:2 It may be that those who disbelieve wish ardently that they were Muslims. Rubama yawaddu allatheena kafaroo law kanoo muslimeena رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوْ كَانُواْ مُسْلِمِينَ
15:3 Let them eat and enjoy life, and let (false) hope beguile them. They will come to know! Tharhum ya/kuloo wayatamattaAAoo wayulhihimu al-amalu fasawfa yaAAlamoona ذَرْهُمْ يَأْكُلُواْ وَيَتَمَتَّعُواْ وَيُلْهِهِمُ الأَمَلُ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
15:4 And We destroyed no township but there was a known decree for it. Wama ahlakna min qaryatin illa walaha kitabun maAAloomun وَمَا أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلاَّ وَلَهَا كِتَابٌ مَّعْلُومٌ
15:5 No nation can outstrip its term nor can they lag behind. Ma tasbiqu min ommatin ajalaha wama yasta/khiroona مَّا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ
15:6 And they say: O thou unto whom the Reminder is revealed, lo! thou art indeed a madman! Waqaloo ya ayyuha allathee nuzzila AAalayhi alththikru innaka lamajnoonun وَقَالُواْ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِي نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الذِّكْرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجْنُونٌ
15:7 Why bringest thou not angels unto us, if thou art of the truthful ? Law ma ta/teena bialmala-ikati in kunta mina alssadiqeena لَّوْ مَا تَأْتِينَا بِالْمَلائِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
15:8 We send not down the angels save with the Fact, and in that case (the disbelievers) would not be tolerated. Ma nunazzilu almala-ikata illa bialhaqqi wama kanoo ithan munthareena مَا نُنَزِّلُ الْمَلائِكَةَ إِلاَّ بِالحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُواْ إِذًا مُّنظَرِينَ
15:9 Lo! We, even We, reveal the Reminder, and lo! We verily are its Guardian. Inna nahnu nazzalna alththikra wa-inna lahu lahafithoona إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ
15:10 We verily sent (messengers) before thee among the factions of the men of old. Walaqad arsalna min qablika fee shiyaAAi al-awwaleena وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِي شِيَعِ الأَوَّلِينَ
15:11 And never came there unto them a messenger but they did mock him. Wama ya/teehim min rasoolin illa kanoo bihi yastahzi-oona وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلاَّ كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
15:12 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty: Kathalika naslukuhu fee quloobi almujrimeena كَذَلِكَ نَسْلُكُهُ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
15:13 They believe not therein, though the example of the men of old hath gone before. La yu/minoona bihi waqad khalat sunnatu al-awwaleena لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ سُنَّةُ الأَوَّلِينَ
15:14 And even if We opened unto them a gate of heaven and they kept mounting through it, Walaw fatahna AAalayhim baban mina alssama-i fathalloo feehi yaAArujoona وَلَوْ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا مِّنَ السَّمَاء فَظَلُّواْ فِيهِ يَعْرُجُونَ
15:15 They would say: Our sight is wrong - nay, but we are folk bewitched. Laqaloo innama sukkirat absaruna bal nahnu qawmun mashooroona لَقَالُواْ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتْ أَبْصَارُنَا بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَّسْحُورُونَ
15:16 And verily in the heaven we have set mansions of the stars, and We have beautified it for beholders. Walaqad jaAAalna fee alssama-i buroojan wazayyannaha lilnnathireena وَلَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا فِي السَّمَاء بُرُوجًا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا لِلنَّاظِرِينَ
15:17 And We have guarded it from every outcast devil, Wahafithnaha min kulli shaytanin rajeemin وَحَفِظْنَاهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ رَّجِيمٍ
15:18 Save him who stealeth the hearing, and them doth a clear flame pursue. Illa mani istaraqa alssamAAa faatbaAAahu shihabun mubeenun إِلاَّ مَنِ اسْتَرَقَ السَّمْعَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ مُّبِينٌ
15:19 And the earth have We spread out, and placed therein firm hills, and caused each seemly thing to grow therein. Waal-arda madadnaha waalqayna feeha rawasiya waanbatna feeha min kulli shay-in mawzoonin وَالأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مَّوْزُونٍ
15:20 And we have given unto you livelihoods therein, and unto those for whom ye provide not. WajaAAalna lakum feeha maAAayisha waman lastum lahu biraziqeena وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ وَمَن لَّسْتُمْ لَهُ بِرَازِقِينَ
15:21 And there is not a thing but with Us are the stores thereof. And we send it not down save in appointed measure. Wa-in min shay-in illa AAindana khaza-inuhu wama nunazziluhu illa biqadarin maAAloomin وَإِن مِّن شَيْءٍ إِلاَّ عِندَنَا خَزَائِنُهُ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُ إِلاَّ بِقَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
15:22 And We send the winds fertilising, and cause water to descend from the sky, and give it you to drink. It is not ye who are the holders of the store thereof. Waarsalna alrriyaha lawaqiha faanzalna mina alssama-i maan faasqaynakumoohu wama antum lahu bikhazineena وَأَرْسَلْنَا الرِّيَاحَ لَوَاقِحَ فَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاء مَاء فَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمُوهُ وَمَا أَنتُمْ لَهُ بِخَازِنِينَ
15:23 Lo! and it is We, even We, Who quicken and give death, and We are the Inheritor. Wa-inna lanahnu nuhyee wanumeetu wanahnu alwarithoona وَإنَّا لَنَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحْنُ الْوَارِثُونَ
15:24 And verily We know the eager among you and verily We know the laggards. Walaqad AAalimna almustaqdimeena minkum walaqad AAalimna almusta/khireena وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَ مِنكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَأْخِرِينَ
15:25 Lo! thy Lord will gather them together. Lo! He is Wise, Aware. Wa-inna rabbaka huwa yahshuruhum innahu hakeemun AAaleemun وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ إِنَّهُ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
15:26 Verily We created man of potter's clay of black mud altered, Walaqad khalaqna al-insana min salsalin min hama-in masnoonin وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الإِنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ
15:27 And the jinn did We create aforetime of essential fire. Waaljanna khalaqnahu min qablu min nari alssamoomi وَالْجَآنَّ خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن قَبْلُ مِن نَّارِ السَّمُومِ
15:28 And (remember) when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potter's clay of black mud altered, Wa-ith qala rabbuka lilmala-ikati innee khaliqun basharan min salsalin min hama-in masnoonin وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ إِنِّي خَالِقٌ بَشَرًا مِّن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ
15:29 So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. Fa-itha sawwaytuhu wanafakhtu feehi min roohee faqaAAoo lahu sajideena فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُواْ لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ
15:30 So the angels fell prostrate, all of them together Fasajada almala-ikatu kulluhum ajmaAAoona فَسَجَدَ الْمَلآئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ
15:31 Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate. Illa ibleesa aba an yakoona maAAa alssajideena إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ
15:32 He said: O Iblis! What aileth thee that thou art not among the prostrate ? Qala ya ibleesu ma laka alla takoona maAAa alssajideena قَالَ يَا إِبْلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلاَّ تَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ
15:33 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! Qala lam akun li-asjuda libasharin khalaqtahu min salsalin min hama-in masnoonin قَالَ لَمْ أَكُن لِّأَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقْتَهُ مِن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ
15:34 He said: Then go thou forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast. Qala faokhruj minha fa-innaka rajeemun قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ
15:35 And lo! the curse shall be upon thee till the Day of Judgment. Wa-inna AAalayka allaAAnata ila yawmi alddeeni وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ اللَّعْنَةَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
15:36 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. Qala rabbi faanthirnee ila yawmi yubAAathoona قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
15:37 He said: Then lo! thou art of those reprieved Qala fa-innaka mina almunthareena قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنظَرِينَ
15:38 Till the Day of appointed time. Ila yawmi alwaqti almaAAloomi إِلَى يَومِ الْوَقْتِ الْمَعْلُومِ
15:39 He said: My Lord! Because Thou hast sent me astray, I verily shall adorn the path of error for them in the earth, and shall mislead them every one, Qala rabbi bima aghwaytanee laozayyinanna lahum fee al-ardi walaoghwiyannahum ajmaAAeena قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
15:40 Save such of them as are Thy perfectly devoted slaves. Illa AAibadaka minhumu almukhlaseena إِلاَّ عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
15:41 He said: This is a right course incumbent upon Me: Qala hatha siratun AAalayya mustaqeemun قَالَ هَذَا صِرَاطٌ عَلَيَّ مُسْتَقِيمٌ
15:42 Lo! as for My slaves, thou hast no power over any of them save such of the froward as follow thee, Inna AAibadee laysa laka AAalayhim sultanun illa mani ittabaAAaka mina alghaweena إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانٌ إِلاَّ مَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْغَاوِينَ
15:43 And lo! for all such, hell will be the promised place. Wa-inna jahannama lamawAAiduhum ajmaAAeena وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
15:44 It hath seven gates, and each gate hath an appointed portion. Laha sabAAatu abwabin likulli babin minhum juz-on maqsoomun لَهَا سَبْعَةُ أَبْوَابٍ لِّكُلِّ بَابٍ مِّنْهُمْ جُزْءٌ مَّقْسُومٌ
15:45 Lo! those who ward off (evil) are among gardens and watersprings. Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin waAAuyoonin إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
15:46 (And it is said unto them): Enter them in peace, secure. Odkhulooha bisalamin amineena ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلاَمٍ آمِنِينَ
15:47 And We remove whatever rancour may be in their breasts. As brethren, face to face, (they rest) on couches raised. WanazaAAna ma fee sudoorihim min ghillin ikhwanan AAala sururin mutaqabileena وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنْ غِلٍّ إِخْوَانًا عَلَى سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَابِلِينَ
15:48 Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence. La yamassuhum feeha nasabun wama hum minha bimukhrajeena لاَ يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ وَمَا هُم مِّنْهَا بِمُخْرَجِينَ
15:49 Announce, (O Muhammad) unto My slaves that verily I am the Forgiving, the Merciful, Nabbi/ AAibadee annee ana alghafooru alrraheemu نَبِّئْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
15:50 And that My doom is the dolorous doom. Waanna AAathabee huwa alAAathabu al-aleemu وَ أَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الأَلِيمَ
15:51 And tell them of Abraham's guests, Wanabbi/hum AAan dayfi ibraheema وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَن ضَيْفِ إِ بْراَهِيمَ
15:52 (How) when they came in unto him, and said: Peace. He said: Lo! we are afraid of you. Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala inna minkum wajiloona إِذْ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلامًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ
15:53 They said: Be not afraid! Lo! we bring thee good tidings of a boy possessing wisdom. Qaloo la tawjal inna nubashshiruka bighulamin AAaleemin قَالُواْ لاَ تَوْجَلْ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلامٍ عَلِيمٍ
15:54 He said: Bring ye me good tidings (of a son) when old age hath overtaken me ? Of what then can ye bring good tidings ? Qala abashshartumoonee AAala an massaniya alkibaru fabima tubashshirooni قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي عَلَى أَن مَّسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ
15:55 They said: We bring thee good tidings in truth. So be not thou of the despairing. Qaloo bashsharnaka bialhaqqi fala takun mina alqaniteena قَالُواْ بَشَّرْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلاَ تَكُن مِّنَ الْقَانِطِينَ
15:56 He said: And who despaireth of the mercy of his Lord save those who are astray ? Qala waman yaqnatu min rahmati rabbihi illa alddalloona قَالَ وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ إِلاَّ الضَّآلُّونَ
15:57 He said: And afterward what is your business, O ye messengers (of Allah) ? Qala fama khatbukum ayyuha almursaloona قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ
15:58 They said: We have been sent unto a guilty folk, Qaloo inna orsilna ila qawmin mujrimeena قَالُواْ إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَى قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ
15:59 (All) save the family of Lot. Them we shall deliver every one, Illa ala lootin inna lamunajjoohum ajmaAAeena إِلاَّ آلَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
15:60 Except his wife, of whom We had decreed that she should be of those who stay behind. Illa imraatahu qaddarna innaha lamina alghabireena فَلَمَّا جَاء آلَ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلُونَ
15:61 And when the messengers came unto the family of Lot, Falamma jaa ala lootin almursaloona
15:62 He said: Lo! ye are folk unknown (to me). Qala innakum qawmun munkaroona قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ
15:63 They said: Nay, but we bring thee that concerning which they keep disputing, Qaloo bal ji/naka bima kanoo feehi yamtaroona قَالُواْ بَلْ جِئْنَاكَ بِمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ
15:64 And bring thee the Truth, and lo! we are truth-tellers. Waataynaka bialhaqqi wa-inna lasadiqoona وَأَتَيْنَاكَ بَالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ
15:65 So travel with thy household in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs. Let none of you turn round, but go whither ye are commanded. Faasri bi-ahlika biqitAAin mina allayli waittabiAA adbarahum wala yaltafit minkum ahadun waimdoo haythu tu/maroona فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ وَاتَّبِعْ أَدْبَارَهُمْ وَلاَ يَلْتَفِتْ مِنكُمْ أَحَدٌ وَامْضُواْ حَيْثُ تُؤْمَرُونَ
15:66 And We made plain the case to him, that the root of them (who did wrong) was to be cut at early morn. Waqadayna ilayhi thalika al-amra anna dabira haola-i maqtooAAun musbiheena وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ ذَلِكَ الأَمْرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَؤُلاء مَقْطُوعٌ مُّصْبِحِينَ
15:67 And the people of the city came, rejoicing at the news (of new arrivals). Wajaa ahlu almadeenati yastabshiroona وَجَاء أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
15:68 He said: Lo! they are my guests. Affront me not! Qala inna haola-i dayfee fala tafdahooni قَالَ إِنَّ هَؤُلاء ضَيْفِي فَلاَ تَفْضَحُونِ
15:69 And keep your duty to Allah, and shame me not! Waittaqoo Allaha wala tukhzooni وَاتَّقُوا اللّهَ وَلاَ تُخْزُونِ
15:70 They said; Have we not forbidden you from (entertaining) anyone ? Qaloo awa lam nanhaka AAani alAAalameena قَالُوا أَوَلَمْ نَنْهَكَ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ
15:71 He said: Here are my daughters, if ye must be doing (so). Qala haola-i banatee in kuntum faAAileena قَالَ هَؤُلاء بَنَاتِي إِن كُنتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ
15:72 By thy life (O Muhammad) they moved blindly in the frenzy of approaching death. LaAAamruka innahum lafee sakratihim yaAAmahoona لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَفِي سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
15:73 Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise. Faakhathat-humu alssayhatu mushriqeena فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِينَ
15:74 And We utterly confounded them, and We rained upon them stones of heated clay. FajaAAalna AAaliyaha safilaha waamtarna AAalayhim hijaratan min sijjeelin فَجَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
15:75 Lo! therein verily are portents for those who read the signs. Inna fee thalika laayatin lilmutawassimeena إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لآيَاتٍ لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ
15:76 And lo! it is upon a road still uneffaced. Wa-innaha labisabeelin muqeemin وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٍ مُّقيمٍ
15:77 Lo! therein is indeed a portent for believers. Inna fee thalika laayatan lilmu/mineena إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لآيَةً لِّلْمُؤمِنِينَ
15:78 And the dwellers in the wood indeed were evil-doers. Wa-in kana as-habu al-aykati lathalimeena وَإِن كَانَ أَصْحَابُ الأَيْكَةِ لَظَالِمِينَ
15:79 So we took vengeance on them; and lo! they both are on a high-road plain to see. Faintaqamna minhum wa-innahuma labi-imamin mubeenin فَانتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ
15:80 And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. Walaqad kaththaba as-habu alhijri almursaleena وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الحِجْرِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
15:81 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. Waataynahum ayatina fakanoo AAanha muAArideena وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ آيَاتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ
15:82 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. Wakanoo yanhitoona mina aljibali buyootan amineena وَكَانُواْ يَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا آمِنِينَ
15:83 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, Faakhathat-humu alssayhatu musbiheena فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُصْبِحِينَ
15:84 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. Fama aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yaksiboona فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ
15:85 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. Wama khalaqna alssamawati waal-arda wama baynahuma illa bialhaqqi wa-inna alssaAAata laatiyatun faisfahi alssafha aljameela وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لآتِيَةٌ فَاصْفَحِ الصَّفْحَ الْجَمِيلَ
15:86 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. Inna rabbaka huwa alkhallaqu alAAaleemu إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ الْخَلاَّقُ الْعَلِيمُ
15:87 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. Walaqad ataynaka sabAAan mina almathanee waalqur-ana alAAatheema وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ سَبْعًا مِّنَ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنَ الْعَظِيمَ
15:88 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. La tamuddanna AAaynayka ila ma mattaAAna bihi azwajan minhum wala tahzan AAalayhim waikhfid janahaka lilmu/mineena لاَ تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَى مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِّنْهُمْ وَلاَ تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
15:89 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, Waqul innee ana alnnatheeru almubeenu وَقُلْ إِنِّي أَنَا النَّذِيرُ الْمُبِينُ
15:90 Such as We send down for those who make division, Kama anzalna AAala almuqtasimeena كَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَى المُقْتَسِمِينَ
15:91 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. Allatheena jaAAaloo alqur-ana AAideena الَّذِينَ جَعَلُوا الْقُرْآنَ عِضِينَ
15:92 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, Fawarabbika lanas-alannahum ajmaAAeena فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسْأَلَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِيْنَ
15:93 Of what they used to do. AAamma kanoo yaAAmaloona عَمَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
15:94 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. FaisdaAA bima tu/maru waaAArid AAani almushrikeena فَاصْدَعْ بِمَا تُؤْمَرُ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
15:95 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, Inna kafaynaka almustahzi-eena إِنَّا كَفَيْنَاكَ الْمُسْتَهْزِئِينَ
15:96 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. Allatheena yajAAaloona maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara fasawfa yaAAlamoona الَّذِينَ يَجْعَلُونَ مَعَ اللّهِ إِلـهًا آخَرَ فَسَوْفَ يَعْمَلُونَ
15:97 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, Walaqad naAAlamu annaka yadeequ sadruka bima yaqooloona وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدْرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ
15:98 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). Fasabbih bihamdi rabbika wakun mina alssajideena فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ السَّاجِدِينَ
15:99 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. WaoAAbud rabbaka hatta ya/tiyaka alyaqeenu وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُ
