Sura Al Mutaffifeen 83

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِِ
83:1 Woe unto the defrauders: Waylun lilmutaffifeena وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ
83:2 Those who when they take the measure from mankind demand it full, Allatheena itha iktaloo AAala alnnasi yastawfoona *2* *
83:3 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. Wa-itha kaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroona وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ
83:4 Do such (men) not consider that they will be raised again Ala yathunnu ola-ika annahum mabAAoothoona أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُولَئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ
83:5 Unto an Awful Day, Liyawmin AAatheemin لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
83:6 The day when (all) mankind stand before the Lord of the Worlds ? Yawma yaqoomu alnnasu lirabbi alAAalameena يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
83:7 Nay, but the record of the vile is in Sijjin - Kalla inna kitaba alfujjari lafee sijjeenin كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٍ
83:8 Ah! what will convey unto thee what Sijjin is! - Wama adraka ma sijjeenun وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ
83:9 A written record. Kitabun marqoomun كِتَابٌ مَّرْقُومٌ
83:10 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
83:11 Those who deny the Day of Judgment Allatheena yukaththiboona biyawmi alddeeni الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ
83:12 Which none denieth save each criminal transgressor, Wama yukaththibu bihi illa kullu muAAtadin atheemin وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ
83:13 Who, when thou readest unto him Our revelations, saith: (Mere) fables of the men of old. Itha tutla AAalayhi ayatuna qala asateeru al-awwaleena إِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
83:14 Nay, but that which they have earned is rust upon their hearts. Kalla bal rana AAala quloobihim ma kanoo yaksiboona كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
83:15 Nay, but surely on that day they will be covered from (the mercy of) their Lord. Kalla innahum AAan rabbihim yawma-ithin lamahjooboona كَلَّا إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ
83:16 Then lo! they verily will burn in hell, Thumma innahum lasaloo aljaheemi ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا الْجَحِيمِ
83:17 And it will be said (unto them): This is that which ye used to deny. Thumma yuqalu hatha allathee kuntum bihi tukaththiboona ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
83:18 Nay, but the record of the righteous is in 'Illiyin - Kalla inna kitaba al-abrari lafee AAilliyyeena كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْأَبْرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ
83:19 Ah, what will convey unto thee what 'Illiyin is! - Wama adraka ma AAilliyyoona وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ
83:20 A written record, Kitabun marqoomun كِتَابٌ مَّرْقُومٌ
83:21 Attested by those who are brought near (unto their Lord). Yashhaduhu almuqarraboona يَشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
83:22 Lo! the righteous verily are in delight, Inna al-abrara lafee naAAeemin إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ
83:23 On couches, gazing, AAala al-ara-iki yanthuroona عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
83:24 Thou wilt know in their faces the radiance of delight. TaAArifu fee wujoohihim nadrata alnnaAAeemi تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ
83:25 They are given to drink of a pure wine, sealed, Yusqawna min raheeqin makhtoomin يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍ مَّخْتُومٍ
83:26 Whose seal is musk - for this let (all) those strive who strive for bliss - Khitamuhu miskun wafee thalika falyatanafasi almutanafisoona خِتَامُهُ مِسْكٌ وَفِي ذَلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ
83:27 And mixed with water of Tasnim, Wamizajuhu min tasneemin وَمِزَاجُهُ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ
83:28 A spring whence those brought near (to Allah) drink. AAaynan yashrabu biha almuqarraboona عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
83:29 Lo! the guilty used to laugh at those who believed, Inna allatheena ajramoo kanoo mina allatheena amanoo yadhakoona إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُواْ مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ
83:30 And wink one to another when they passed them; Wa-itha marroo bihim yataghamazoona وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ
83:31 And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting; Wa-itha inqalaboo ila ahlihimu inqalaboo fakiheena وَإِذَا انقَلَبُواْ إِلَى أَهْلِهِمُ انقَلَبُواْ فَكِهِينَ
83:32 And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray. Wa-itha raawhum qaloo inna haola-i ladalloona وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّ هَؤُلَاء لَضَالُّونَ
83:33 Yet they were not sent as guardians over them. Wama orsiloo AAalayhim hafitheena وَمَا أُرْسِلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حَافِظِينَ
83:34 This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers, Faalyawma allatheena amanoo mina alkuffari yadhakoona فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ
83:35 On high couches, gazing. AAala al-ara-iki yanthuroona عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
83:36 Are not the disbelievers paid for what they used to do ? Hal thuwwiba alkuffaru ma kanoo yafAAaloona هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
