Sura Al Muzzammil 73

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِِ
73:1 O thou wrapped up in thy raiment! Ya ayyuha almuzzammilu يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُ
73:2 Keep vigil the night long, save a little - Qumi allayla illa qaleelan قُمِ اللَّيْلَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
73:3 A half thereof, or abate a little thereof Nisfahu awi onqus minhu qaleelan نِصْفَهُ أَوِ انقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِيلًا
73:4 Or add (a little) thereto - and chant the Qur'an in measure, Aw zid AAalayhi warattili alqur-ana tarteelan أَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْآنَ تَرْتِيلًا
73:5 For we shall charge thee with a word of weight. Inna sanulqee AAalayka qawlan thaqeelan إِنَّا سَنُلْقِي عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيلًا
73:6 Lo! the vigil of the night is (a time) when impression is more keen and speech more certain. Inna nashi-ata allayli hiya ashaddu wat-an waaqwamu qeelan إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ اللَّيْلِ هِيَ أَشَدُّ وَطْءًا وَأَقْوَمُ قِيلًا
73:7 Lo! thou hast by day a chain of business. Inna laka fee alnnahari sabhan taweelan إِنَّ لَكَ فِي اَلنَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِيلًا
73:8 So remember the name of thy Lord and devote thyself with a complete devotion - Waothkuri isma rabbika watabattal ilayhi tabteelan وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلْ إِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيلًا
73:9 Lord of the East and the West; there is no God save Him; so choose thou Him alone for thy defender - Rabbu almashriqi waalmaghribi la ilaha illa huwa faittakhithhu wakeelan رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلًا
73:10 And bear with patience what they utter, and part from them with a fair leave- taking. Waisbir AAala ma yaqooloona waohjurhum hajran jameelan وَاصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيلًا
73:11 Leave Me to deal with the deniers, lords of ease and comfort (in this life); and do thou respite them awhile. Watharnee waalmukaththibeena olee alnnaAAmati wamahhilhum qaleelan وَذَرْنِي وَالْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُولِي النَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيلًا
73:12 Lo! with Us are heavy fetters and a raging fire, Inna ladayna ankalan wajaheeman إِنَّ لَدَيْنَا أَنكَالًا وَجَحِيمًا
73:13 And food which choketh (the partaker), and a painful doom WataAAaman tha ghussatin waAAathaban aleeman وَطَعَامًا ذَا غُصَّةٍ وَعَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
73:14 On the day when the earth and the hills rock, and the hills become a heap of running sand. Yawma tarjufu al-ardu waaljibalu wakanati aljibalu katheeban maheelan يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ الْجِبَالُ كَثِيبًا مَّهِيلًا
73:15 Lo! We have sent unto you a messenger as witness against you, even as We sent unto Pharaoh a messenger. Inna arsalna ilaykum rasoolan shahidan AAalaykum kama arsalna ila firAAawna rasoolan إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ رَسُولًا شَاهِدًا عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ رَسُولًا
73:16 But Pharaoh rebelled against the messenger, whereupon We seized him with no gentle grip. FaAAasa firAAawnu alrrasoola faakhathnahu akhthan wabeelan فَعَصَى فِرْعَوْنُ الرَّسُولَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُ أَخْذًا وَبِيلًا
73:17 Then how, if ye disbelieve, will ye protect yourselves upon the day which will turn children grey, Fakayfa tattaqoona in kafartum yawman yajAAalu alwildana sheeban فَكَيْفَ تَتَّقُونَ إِن كَفَرْتُمْ يَوْمًا يَجْعَلُ الْوِلْدَانَ شِيبًا
73:18 The very heaven being then rent asunder. His promise is to be fulfilled. Alssamao munfatirun bihi kana waAAduhu mafAAoolan السَّمَاء مُنفَطِرٌ بِهِ كَانَ وَعْدُهُ مَفْعُولًا
73:19 Lo! This is a Reminder. Let him who will, then, choose a way unto his Lord. Inna hathihi tathkiratun faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi sabeelan إِنَّ هَذِهِ تَذْكِرَةٌ فَمَن شَاء اتَّخَذَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا
73:20 Lo! thy Lord knoweth how thou keepest vigil sometimes nearly two-thirds of the night, or (sometimes) half or a third thereof, as do a party of those with thee. Allah measureth the night and the day. He knoweth that ye count it not, and turneth unto you in mercy. Recite, then, of the Qur'an that which is easy for you. He knoweth that there are sick folk among you, while others travel in the land in search of Allah's bounty, and others (still) are fighting for the cause of Allah. So recite of it that which is easy (for you), and establish worship and pay the poor-due, and (so) lend unto Allah a goodly loan. Whatsoever good ye send before you for your souls, ye will find it with Allah, better and greater in the recompense. And seek forgiveness of Allah. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. Inna rabbaka yaAAlamu annaka taqoomu adna min thuluthayi allayli wanisfahu wathuluthahu wata-ifatun mina allatheena maAAaka waAllahu yuqaddiru allayla waalnnahara AAalima an lan tuhsoohu fataba AAalaykum faiqraoo ma tayassara mina alqur-ani AAalima an sayakoonu minkum marda waakharoona yadriboona fee al-ardi yabtaghoona min fadli Allahi waakharoona yuqatiloona fee sabeeli Allahi faiqraoo ma tayassara minhu waaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata waaqridoo Allaha qardan hasanan wama tuqaddimoo li-anfusikum min khayrin tajidoohu AAinda Allahi huwa khayran waaAAthama ajran waistaghfiroo Allaha inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَقُومُ أَدْنَى مِن ثُلُثَيِ اللَّيْلِ وَنِصْفَهُ وَثُلُثَهُ وَطَائِفَةٌ مِّنَ الَّذِينَ مَعَكَ وَاللَّهُ يُقَدِّرُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ عَلِمَ أَن لَّن تُحْصُوهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْرَؤُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ عَلِمَ أَن سَيَكُونُ مِنكُم مَّرْضَى وَآخَرُونَ يَضْرِبُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَبْتَغُونَ مِن فَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَآخَرُونَ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَاقْرَؤُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْهُ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَقْرِضُوا اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ اللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا وَأَعْظَمَ أَجْرًا وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
